Do I need to register before I start?
Yes. Please register first, as a litter champion with Boston Borough Council. Here is how.
How do I register?
Go to the Boston Borough Council website, click Report / Action it, then under Action it click Litter champion application form. Fill it in and submit it. Or go straight to the council’s page.
Who do I ask for bags, pickers and gloves?
Please contact Steve Slater. More about getting your kit.
Where can I pick up red bags?
From 79 West End Road or 53 Parthian.
What do I do with full bags?
Leave full red bags by your green bin for collection, or by the council’s bin. Please make sure you do not obstruct paths or roads.
What if I have lots of bags?
Leave them together in one large collection area, then contact Steve Slater to arrange for them to be collected. Ask in our Facebook group or send us a message.
Can I pick up needles?
No. Please do not pick up needles or syringes. Report them using the Boston Borough Council website: Report / Action it, then Discarded needles / syringes. More about reporting needles.
How do I report fly-tipping?
You can report it to the council directly through their website, or use Fix My Street.
What is a hot spot, and who do I tell?
A hot spot is an area with a consistent litter problem. Please tell Steve Slater, in our Facebook group or by sending us a message.
Who is Steve Slater?
Steve Slater is the person to ask for bags, pickers and gloves, and to tell about hot spots and large collections of bags.
Can I pick litter outside Wyberton?
Yes. We pick in Wyberton, Frampton, Kirton and Boston, and anywhere within Boston borough.
